Nearly 9 billion people searched Google in July 2009. To be exact 8.78 billion people used the internet's most popular search engine to locate information, news, games, websites, goods and businesses. So the pertinent question is: if you haven't monetized your website or blog, what are you waiting for?

According to an article in Yahoo Tech News (8/18/09) Google is set to sell more than $20 million in internet advertising for the remainder of this year and into the next! Most of the revenue will come from short marketing messages that are placed next to search results.

Imagine creating a popular site OR adding Google AdSense to your social networking profile pages and getting a lively percentage of $20,000,000 in commissions! With close to 9 BILLION people searching online each month, some of them are bound to visit your site as you provide interest, services, information, goods, etc.

Even with the ongoing recession, advertising remains a viable means of reaching consumers AND being an 'advertiser' remains a great method of generating passive income!
